Tip

Because the main LAN is a /22, 192.168.70.2 and 192.168.68.10 are on the same L2 segment — which is why the PXE proxyDHCP (scoped to 192.168.68.0/22) serves clients anywhere in .68–.71.

DHCP / PXE

  • Main DHCP is served by the gateway 192.168.68.1.
  • netboot.xyz runs dnsmasq in proxyDHCP mode (dhcp-range=192.168.68.0,proxy) + TFTP, handing PXE clients the iPXE bootloader and pointing them at the PXE server for the menu. See PXE Server.
